ISACA Winnipeg Chapter Event – Dynamic PCI trio

Local chapter events are key to creating a community of like-minded professionals and sharing knowledge with your peers. Throughout the year, this chapter hosts regular monthly chapter dinner meetings, an annual conference in the spring and other training opportunities and social events throughout the year.

October 23 2014:  A dynamic trio of PCI professionals will provide an update on moving from PCI V2.1 to V3.0 and answer your questions about PCI compliance.

Since the launch of PCI DSS v3 in January, merchants and retailers have been under increasing pressure to ensure they’re compliant with the new version.  Join our dynamic panel of PCI experts on October 23rd to get your questions answered about achieving and maintaining compliance.  Our panel consists of  QSAs, PCI consultants and an ISA/IT Security Manager responsible for PCI compliance in a distributed retail environment.

You will learn about the new controls introduced in PCI DSS V3.0, the challenges faced by other organizations and how they are planning to address those controls.  In addition, submit a question during the registration process and find out how other organizations have dealt with similar challenges you are currently facing.

Paul Gregoire is an independent consultant and PCI QSA subject matter expert for SC Magazine “Beyond the Checkbox” August 2013 issue, Corus Radio (CJOB), and consultant for CTV News and has appeared on 2 episodes speaking on PCI data breaches and security for handheld mobile smartphone technologies.

Shawn Lukaschuk helps organizations integrate new payment channels into their business with a risk based strategy. Specialties include: Compliance with PCI DSS, Policy and Process engineering, and layer 3 network segmentation strategies.

Travis Waywood-Joyce is the Manager of Information Security for Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries and has been working with the crown corporation and its predecessors for nearly 9 years. Travis has CISSP and GWAPT certifications and a PCI Internal Security Assessor designation. He is responsible for leading the corporation’s PCI compliance efforts; has worked with PCI DSS versions 1 & 2; and is planning for compliance with version 3 in the coming year.
